Ian Armstrong's wonderful site documents the history of London's red bus routes, individual route histories, vehicle allocations, destination blinds are all covered in detail. There are also many period photographs and route maps.

Ian Smith's site is devoted to the buses used by London Transport and it successors, histories & photographs of all the different types that graced the streets of London and the surrounding countryside.
Many types included detailed indiividual vehicle histories with garage allocations.
