About LBRT

London Bus Repaints and Transfers was established in 1990 when we started to produce transfers suitable for the then newly introduced EFE RT model and existing white metal bus kits. The range grew over the years in line with the expanding range of new diecast models added to the EFE, OOC, Britbus & CMNL ranges.

We  focused our range on London Transport and it's successors, and built up an extensive range of blind sets, covering both central red and country green routes. The blinds are available in various formats making them suitable for use on a wide range of different diecast and kit built model types.

The range also includes a varied selection of fleet names and logos which cover the many styles that have appeared on London's buses since the 1930's.
We also produced the smaller items which add that authentic finishing touch to your models, legal lettering, unladen weights, garage codes, fleet numbers and registration plates.

All our transfers were designed in house using the latest computer graphics design software. The high quality waterslide transfers are printed using the traditional silk screen process and are produced by a leading manufacturer who has over 70 years  experience in the field.

LBRT transfers are applied in exactly the same way as those supplied with  Airfix kits, just soak  in warm water and then slide them off their backing paper & onto the model.

I decided to concentrate on code 3 models from 2009 and the sale of the transfer range  was taken over by Bus Stop Models.

During  2016 I decided to retire and ceased the production of all bus models, during 2017 the owner of Bus Stop Models also decided to retire, and with the closure of their site I once again took over the sale of the transfers using eBay.

eBay was a useful  and popular outlet for the transfers, but in July 2018 eBay said I had reached my item limit and demanded I upgrade to a much more expensive account with an eBay shop.

In response to this problem, I decided to open this online store and offer the transfers directly to customers, it also allows me to offer a  better more personal service.

In 2020 we decided to retire and to not have anymore transfers made, at the same time our printers also announced that would no longer be offering a printing service for waterslide transfers.

We will keep the business going as long as we have stock to sell.

Some  quantities of  transfers are now down to double figures, with some in single figures, the site features live stock management, so over time more items will sell out and be marked as out of stock.

2025 will see 35 years of LBRT and we hope to still be going (Health allowing) and stock levels.

We hope you find the site easy to use and  please use our  search option.
